The Oman national football team, nicknamed the Reds, is governed by the Oman Football Association and competes in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The team reached the final round of AFC qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, narrowly missing out. Oman plays its home matches primarily at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat.
