Getafe CF vs CA Osasuna

Getafe wrapped up seventh place and secured European football on the final day of the LaLiga season, seeing off Osasuna 1-0 at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez with a second-half winner that settled what had been a tense afternoon. The first half offered little going forward, but Luis Milla broke the deadlock in the 59th minute to give the hosts exactly what they needed. Osasuna actually produced more attempts, 11 shots to Getafe's six, yet goalkeeper Soria was in superb form, making five saves to preserve the clean sheet. The contest grew scrappier late on, with bookings for Mauro Arambarri and Aitor Fernández in stoppage time reflecting the stakes involved. The three points lifted Getafe to 51 points and a continental spot for next season. For Osasuna, dropping to 17th on 42 points on the final day left their top-flight status hanging by a thread.
