پنیارول مقابل پروگرسو

Peñarol and Progreso shared the points in a 1-1 draw at the Estadio Centenario, with the result leaving neither side satisfied despite a dramatic finish. Progreso looked set to pull off a statement win for most of the afternoon, only to see it slip away in the dying moments. Nahuel López put Progreso ahead in the 25th minute, and that lead held firm deep into stoppage time as the visitors defended resolutely. But Peñarol kept pushing, and in the second minute of added time Abel Hernández finished off a scrambled sequence in the box, following a run down the left flank, to snatch a last-gasp equalizer and spare his side from defeat. No red cards or penalties were shown in a tense, chippy affair. For Peñarol, the point keeps them two behind leaders City Torque in the Clausura and preserves their cushion over Deportivo Maldonado in the annual table, though missing a chance to close the gap will sting. For Progreso, fighting to avoid relegation, it's a bitter blow, they let a near-certain win slip through their fingers with just a handful of matches left to climb out of the drop zone.
