Brighton arrive on the back of a 5-0 home win over Crystal Palace, in which Diego Gomez scored from the halfway line and the visitors led 3-0 inside ten minutes. In the previous round they came from two goals down to win 3-2 at Old Trafford. City have the better record between the sides, with 20 wins from 33 meetings against eight for Brighton.
