The Djibouti national football team represents one of the world's smallest and least populous nations in international football. Affiliated with both FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the team is governed by the Fédération Djiboutienne de Football. Djibouti plays home matches at the Stade du Ville in the capital city of Djibouti. As a country of fewer than one million inhabitants in the Horn of Africa, Djibouti faces significant challenges in football development, including limited infrastructure and competition from other sports. The team has historically struggled in AFCON qualification and has never reached the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations. Despite this, Djibouti has recorded some notable results in recent years and the federation continues to invest in grassroots football to build a stronger national programme for future generations.
