Remo Stun Botafogo with Last-Gasp Comeback at Nilton Santos
In a dramatic 14th-round clash at Nilton Santos, Remo came from behind to beat Botafogo 1–2, with the winner arriving deep in stoppage time to leave the home faithful stunned.
Nahuel Ferraresi gave Botafogo the lead on 12 minutes, powering a header from an Alex Telles corner. Remo levelled on 69 minutes when Alef Manga unleashed a fierce shot that rattled the crossbar before nestling in the net. Then, in the 92nd minute, Jajá pounced on a rebound after goalkeeper Neto palmed away a Gabriel Poveda attempt, completing a stunning comeback.
The defeat ends Botafogo's nine-match unbeaten run and marks manager Franclim Carvalho's first loss in charge, dropping the Alvinegro to ninth with 17 points. For Remo, three hard-fought away points send a clear message about their Brasileirão credentials.
