TSG 1899 Hoffenheim was founded in 1899 as a village sports club in Hoffenheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Thanks to the transformative investment of SAP co-founder Dietmar Hopp, the club rose from the lower regional leagues to the Bundesliga by 2007, one of German football's most remarkable ascents. Hoffenheim plays its home matches at the PreZero Arena in nearby Sinsheim, a modern stadium with a capacity of around 30,150. Known as Die Kraichgauer, the club has consistently competed at the top level and qualified for European competition on several occasions. Hoffenheim is recognized for its progressive approach to football, embracing data analytics, sports science, and youth development. Their distinctive blue-and-white colors represent a club that has transformed from a small-town outfit into a respected Bundesliga force.
