Juventud vs Peñarol
Juventud host Peñarol at the Centenario on Friday, after the clubs agreed a deal to move the game from Parque Artigas. It is matchday 12 of the Clausura, and both want points for the Tabla Anual, which decides the continental places. Peñarol arrive in a tense mood. They lost 1-0 to Liverpool last time out, have dropped five of their last six points and fell behind Nacional for the first time this Clausura. They are fourth on 20 points. Some directors want the future of coach Diego Aguirre debated, though the president backs him. Juventud are seventh on 17. In April the sides drew 2-2, with Mimbacas and Rabino putting Juventud 2-0 up at half-time before Peñarol levelled late. Peñarol have not lost to them in seven meetings. No injury or suspension news turned up. Our prediction: 1-2
Cruzeiro vs Remo
Cruzeiro are fourth on 51 points with seven games left, and a home win over Remo would keep them in the hunt for a top-five finish. Remo are 19th on 26 and one of the models used by the sources gives them a 97.8 per cent chance of going down, so the night in Belo Horizonte is about damage limitation for the visitors. Cruzeiro arrive with mixed results: a 4-2 win at Grêmio followed a 4-2 defeat at Bragantino. They have won eight of their 15 league games at the Mineirão and elsewhere in the recent run, and have lost only three at home all season. Remo have drawn their last three, 1-1 with Grêmio, 0-0 with Vasco and 1-1 with Bragantino, and have won only five times all year. Away from home they have won twice. Both sides have problems. Marcelo is suspended for the hosts, while Pec, Sinisterra and Villareal are all out injured. Remo are without Taliari through suspension, and Tchamba and Lucas are also missing. Cruzeiro won the first meeting 1-0 in April. Our prediction: 2-0
Caiquetio vs Sporting Lisbon
Caiquetio and Sporting meet in the first round of the 2026-27 Division di Honor, so neither side has a league position yet. Ten clubs are in the field, and Britannia start as champions after winning the title in each of the last three seasons. Both clubs have something to put right from last year. Sporting finished fourth in the regular season and reached the final group, where Britannia beat them 3-1 in July. Caiquetio spent the season in the relegation playoff group and lost 2-1 to Nacional in the fifth-place final on 12 June. They have been back in the top flight since 2023-24, when they came up from Division Uno. We could not find a head-to-head record for the two clubs, and no individual players have been singled out in the coverage so far. On last season's finish, Sporting arrive in the better shape. Our prediction: 1-2
Al Ahli vs Al Khaleej
This Al Ahli against Al Khaleej game was due on Thursday as part of Matchday 11. It was pushed back a day because Al Khaleej could not leave Dammam. Their flight to Jeddah was cancelled after an attack on King Fahd International Airport on Wednesday evening. It is the sixth league fixture moved in two weeks for similar reasons, and Al Ahli were already affected earlier, when their meeting with Al Nassr was postponed. On the table, the hosts sit fifth with 18 points from nine games, according to the latest standings snapshot. Al Khaleej are tenth on 12 points from ten. Both won 3-2 last time out, Al Ahli against Al Fayha and the visitors against Al Fateh, so goals look likely at either end. No injury or suspension news turned up in the previews we read. The visitors face the added burden of a disrupted journey into Jeddah, and the hosts will fancy using their home ground to move closer to the top four. Our prediction: 2-1
Vitoria Guimaraes vs Marítimo
Neither side arrives in good shape. Vitoria Guimaraes are 15th with five points from eight games, one point above the relegation zone, and they have scored just five goals all season. Newly promoted Maritimo are 11th on eight points but have gone six league games without a win, and they have not beaten Vitoria in their last 10 meetings. Vitoria lost 2-0 at Benfica last time out and have won only one of four home league games. They are without the suspended Alioune Ndoye, while Juan Castillo and Francisco Dias are out for several weeks and Thiago Balieiro is doubtful. Gustavo Silva, the club's top scorer since he arrived in 2024, is back after a month out with a muscle problem. Maritimo lost 2-1 to Porto in their last league game and have conceded 14 times. Striker Adrian Butzke is trying to end a six-match goal drought. Winger Simo Bouzaidi is fit again after scoring and setting up a goal in the cup win over Alcochetense. Our prediction: 1-0
Monterrey vs Guadalajara
A three-point gap separates Chivas and Monterrey in the Apertura table, and this Jornada 14 meeting at the Estadio BBVA can change it. Chivas are second on 23 points with a goal difference of +8. Rayados are seventh on 20 points and +6, with Querétaro level on points in eighth. Both sides won in midweek. Chivas beat Necaxa 1-0, and Monterrey beat Puebla 4-1. Recent meetings favour the visitors. Chivas won 4-2 in November 2025, then 3-2 at this same ground in March, when Djuka missed a late penalty for Rayados. Our prediction: 2-1
Torino vs Monza
Torino open the eighth round of Serie A at home to Monza, and the two sides have met once already this season. Monza won 1-0 in Turin in the Coppa Italia on 1 September, so the hosts have a score to settle. Torino are tenth on 10 points, Monza fourteenth on 7. Both arrive after a win. Torino won at Parma with Simeone scoring twice, and Monza beat Cagliari 4-0 with Varela getting two. Simeone and Adams are expected to start up front for Ignazio Abate's side, with Vlasic behind them or in midfield. Varela leads the line for Ivan Juric's team. Team news is mixed. Torino are without Ilkhan (adductor) and Fortini is doubtful. Monza miss Pessina, Touré and Ziolkowski, though Lucchesi is back from suspension. The last six meetings between them produced no more than two goals each time. Our prediction: 1-1
Alaves vs Malaga
Alaves are seventh with 11 points and Malaga are 20th with 4, so this Matchday 10 game at Mendizorroza looks like a chance for the hosts to move up. Malaga have played nine and not won once, with four draws and five defeats and a goal difference of -12. Alaves have won three of their five home games, scoring 10 and conceding 5. Lucas Boyé leads the way with five goals, and Angel Perez is another name to follow. Their league form away from home has been poorer, but Malaga are the weaker side by some distance. They have conceded in each of their last five league games, including a 5-2 home loss to Real Sociedad. The visitors' best hope may be David Larrubia, who does plenty of work in the middle, and Alfonso Nino up front, who has three goals. On the road Malaga have scored once in four games. Both teams are short of players. Alaves will be without Facundo Garces and Mikel Rodriguez, while Malaga are missing Aaron Ochoa, Lobete and Juan Cruz, with Diego Murillo a doubt. Our prediction: 2-0
Ipswich Town vs Nottingham Forest
Ipswich are 10th on nine points. Nottingham Forest are 19th on five, so Friday night at Portman Road matters far more to the visitors, who need something to stop a slide that has now run to three league defeats. The latest of those was a 1-0 loss to Arsenal on 18 October, and Forest have managed one goal in their last three games. Manager Oliver Glasner has had a poor start at the City Ground, and he is hopeful that Morgan Gibbs-White, their main creative outlet, will shake off a muscle problem. Igor Jesus and Nicolo Savona are both out. Ipswich have their own worries. Jack Taylor may miss out with a knee issue, and Sasa Lukic is doubtful after a groin injury, though he could make the bench. Daizen Maeda scored in the 3-2 defeat at Manchester City and is the player to watch. Across 83 meetings Forest hold the better record, with 42 wins to Ipswich's 22. Our prediction: 2-1
Stuttgart vs Borussia M'gladbach
Borussia Mönchengladbach arrive in Stuttgart as the only Bundesliga side without a point. Six games, six defeats, and a seventh would be a first for any club to lose its opening seven league matches. That is the weight on this Friday fixture at the MHPArena. Stuttgart are not exactly flying either. They sit 13th on 6 points after a 1-0 loss at Hamburg, where Miro Muheim scored late, and a 1-1 draw with Atlético Madrid in midweek. Jamie Leweling scored first in that Champions League game before Julian Alvarez levelled. Josha Vagnoman is out with a thigh problem, and Justin Diehl, Tiago Tomas and Dan-Axel Zagadou are also missing. Gladbach's list is longer, with nine unavailable, including Tim Kleindienst and Isac Lidberg. Coach Alexander Blessin, born in Bad Cannstatt, returns to his home city. Shuto Machino should lead the line, while 17-year-old Wael Mohya scored against Hoffenheim. Gladbach have conceded 20 goals, the most in the league. Our prediction: 2-0
Brest vs Nice
Brest are 10th and Nice are three places below them, four points clear of the automatic relegation spot, so Friday at Stade Francis-Le Blé matters more to the visitors. Nice have only one away goal this season and coach Olivier Pantaloni is still waiting for his first away point with the club. Brest drew 1-1 at Lille last weekend, a result that matched their pattern: they have dropped eight points after scoring first. They have conceded in seven straight home league games, yet they are third in the league for expected goals. Mama Balde scored their opener at Lille. Giovani Versini may miss out again, Brendan Chardonnet is doubtful and Raphael Le Guen is out with a broken fibula. Nice lost 2-1 at Lyon, with Elye Wahi scoring his second league goal of the season. They have scored just six in total. Laurent Abergel and Antoine Mendy are out and Moise Bombito is doubtful. Brest won the last meeting 4-1 at home. Our prediction: 2-1
Kortrijk vs Mechelen
Kortrijk sit 17th with three points from eight games, and KV Mechelen are 14th on six. Neither side can afford to lose this one, though the gap is wider than the table suggests. Mechelen come in with wins over Sint-Truiden and Eupen and want a third in a row. It has been a rough spell for the hosts. New coach Daniel Beichler lost his first game 3-0 at Genk, where his side played the second half with ten men, and the club then went out of the cup against amateurs Heist. The earlier 2-1 win at Lierse is the performance he points to, and he wants more pressing and a team that attacks and defends together. Shandre Campbell is suspended for Kortrijk. Mechelen coach Fred Vanderbiest expects a very different opponent from two weeks ago. Simion Michez is doubtful and Bouke Boersma is out with a muscle problem, with scans still to come. Storms are forecast for the Guldensporenstadion. Our prediction: 1-1
Orlando Pirates vs African Stars
Orlando Pirates need a win or a draw at Orlando Stadium to reach the CAF Champions League group stage. They lead African Stars 1-0 from the first leg in Gaborone, where Tshepang Moremi scored in the 75th minute. Stars must win by two goals to go through. A one-goal win for them would mean penalties. Pirates know that feeling, having gone out at this stage last season on penalties despite a 3-0 second-leg win. Pirates have taken four wins from their last five games, scoring eight and conceding two. The one defeat was a 2-0 loss to Sundowns in the MTN8 final. They sit second in the league, unbeaten in eight and a point off the top. Stars have no domestic season yet, so their rhythm comes from the continent. They lost 3-1 to Mangasport, then won 2-0 in the return to go through on away goals. Pirates are without Kamogelo Sebelebele (meniscus), and Oswin Appollis is a doubt. Thalente Mbatha is fit but his minutes are being managed. Stars report no absences, and Lawrence Doeseb has recovered from flu. They have never scored against Pirates in three meetings. Our prediction: 2-0
Mamelodi Sundowns vs Wiliete
Mamelodi Sundowns and Wiliete meet at Loftus Versfeld with nothing between them after a goalless first leg in Lubango. The winner reaches the Champions League group stage, and Wiliete are chasing the first group place in their short history. The holders have won four of their last five, with a 1-1 draw at Chippa United the only slip, and Iqraam Rayners scored twice in the 4-1 win at Richards Bay. Coach Miguel Cardoso wants more aggression in the box than his side showed in Angola. Wiliete are unbeaten in the Angolan league and two points clear at the top. Mabululu and Gilberto lead their attack, and coach Beto Bianchi has said they must eliminate Sundowns to go through. Sundowns have injury worries. Teboho Mokoena went off after 40 minutes in Angola and the damage is unknown, while captain Ronwen Williams missed that game with a knock. Young defenders such as Fawaaz Basadien impressed in Lubango. Our prediction: 1-0
Al-Qadsiah vs Al Hilal
First meets second in the Pro League, and the order could flip by the end of the night. Al Qadsiah lead with 25 points from 10 games, while Al Hilal sit one behind on 24 with a match fewer played. Brendan Rodgers has called Hilal the toughest side he has faced since taking charge. Al Qadsiah have won four of their last five in all competitions, the latest a 1-0 league win over Al-Taawoun. Mateo Retegui leads their scoring with six league goals, with Tijjani Reijnders on five. Al Hilal have won five straight, three of them clean sheets, and last time out beat Al Hazem 1-0. Gabriel Martinelli has five league goals for Simone Inzaghi's side, and Ollie Watkins and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic are also in the mix. None of our sources reported injury news for either club. The last meeting finished 2-2 in January, and Hilal have the better record across the last five. Our prediction: 1-1
Go Ahead Eagles vs Telstar
G.A. Eagles host Telstar at De Adelaarshorst on Friday, with seven places and five points between them. The hosts are ninth on 11 points. Telstar are 16th on six, one behind PEC Zwolle. The Eagles have not won in five, though most of that run was draws, among them 3-3 with Sparta Rotterdam and 1-1 at NEC. A 4-1 loss at Zwolle came last time out. Soren Tengstedt has five goals, the most in the squad. Telstar are eight league games without a win and have scored 10 times in nine, most recently losing 4-3 to Feyenoord. Patrick Brouwer is expected to start. The record favours the visitors, who beat the Eagles 4-2 in the league last season, won 2-1 in the Beker and drew 1-1 in Deventer. Pim Saathof and Eus Waayers are out for the hosts, Rui Mendes for Telstar. Our prediction: 2-1
Atlético Nacional vs Deportivo Pasto (3 - 0)
Atlético Nacional beat Deportivo Pasto 3-0 at the Atanasio Girardot in Medellín and finished the night as leaders of the Liga BetPlay 2026-II. They started the round second, and the win lifted them above América de Cali on goal difference. The opening goal set the tone. Edwin Cardona struck from near the halfway line in the 13th minute and beat the Pasto goalkeeper, a goal Spanish-language reports called a real golazo. That was the only goal of a first half in which Pasto never found a way back. The second came early after the break. Escorcia scored from inside the six-yard box in the 52nd or 53rd minute (the reports differ), poking the ball in during a scramble while Pasto defenders were throwing themselves in the way. Juan Manuel Rengifo then added the third in the 90th minute. One report has him going past two defenders before finishing with his left foot. The match produced a handful of bookings and no penalties. For Nacional the result moves them to 29 points, one clear of América, and further towards a quadrangular place. Pasto came into the game bottom of the 20-team table on 9 points and leave it there.
Alanyaspor vs Kocaelispor
Both Alanyaspor and Kocaelispor have 12 points from eight league games. Alanyaspor are ninth and Kocaelispor eighth, so the winner on Friday goes clear of the other in the table. The last meeting was in March, when Alanyaspor won 5-0, and Kocaelispor took the game before that 2-0. Alanyaspor are unbeaten in three home league games, with two clean sheets. Gaius Makouta has two goals and two assists, and Florent Hadergjonaj has created the most big chances. They are without Paolo Fernandes and Sporar (ill), and Maestro is doubtful. Kocaelispor have won one of four away games and lost three. Dan Agyei leads their shot count on target. The injury list is long: Zoukrou, Petković, Haïdara and Dijksteel are all out, and Maglica is doubtful. Our prediction: 1-0
Urawa Reds vs Nagoya Grampus
Nagoya Grampus host Urawa Reds at Toyota Stadium on Wednesday evening (11:00 CET) in the Levain Cup group stage, the competition formerly known as the Nabisco Cup. The two clubs meet again in the league on 5 December at Saitama Stadium 2002. Urawa are ninth in J1 with 15 points. Urawa arrive after a 0-3 league defeat at FC Tokyo, followed by a 1-0 win at Mito. In that game they had 28 shots against a Mito side down to ten men, and only won it with a 90th-minute-plus header from substitute Shudai Sasa. Takuro Kaneko played the pass that set it up, and Urawa lean on him more and more. Nagoya have played a lot lately and not lost. They won 2-1 at Kawasaki, 3-1 at Kashiwa and drew 1-1 with Cerezo Osaka on 21 October. In the cup they beat Fagiano Okayama 4-3 on penalties after a 3-3 draw. Our prediction: 2-1
Kaizer Chiefs vs Red Arrows
Kaizer Chiefs host Red Arrows in Durban needing to turn round a 1-0 first leg deficit in the second preliminary round. The winner on aggregate reaches the group stage of the Confederations Cup. The Zambian side won in Ndola when Alassane Diarra scored in the 76th minute from a corner the visitors failed to clear. Set pieces have been a recurring problem for Chiefs, and coach Fernando da Cruz admitted his players showed no aggression in the first half. They are now winless in four games in all competitions, and he says the team lacks efficiency in front of goal. Defender Thabiso Monyane went off injured around the half hour in Ndola and his fitness is unclear. Lebohang Maboe and Siphesihle Ndlovu were already out before the first leg. Mfundo Vilakazi and Mduduzi Shabalala started in Zambia and will need to supply the chances. Da Cruz insists his side can still qualify. Our prediction: 1-0
Al Ittihad vs Al Diriyah
Al Ittihad are fourth in the Pro League and Al Diriyah are seventh on 15 points, so Friday's round 11 game in Jeddah is a chance for the hosts to hold their place in the top four. It is played at the Alinma Stadium. Al Diriyah arrive in better shape than their position suggests. They beat Al Riyadh 1-0 in their last game, Oscar Rodriguez scoring, and that lifted them above Al Ettifaq on goal difference. Coach Bruno Lage leans on his foreign players, chiefly Adel Boulbina, Darwin Nunez and Enzo Millot. Al Ahli even lent them their stadium for the final training session. Al Ittihad are expected to line up with Predrag Rajkovic in goal and Steven Bergwijn and George Ilenikhena up front, with Georginio Wijnaldum and Houssem Aouar in midfield. No injury or suspension news has been reported for either side. Our prediction: 2-1
Viktoria Plzen vs Levski Sofia (1 - 2)
Levski Sofia won 2-1 at Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on Thursday night, scoring twice either side of a home equaliser to leave the Czech side without a point. Everton Bala put the visitors ahead in the 44th minute, with Reinaldo setting him up. Plzen levelled in the 62nd minute when Christophe Kabongo scored from a corner delivered by Cheick Souare. The home side did not enjoy the equaliser for long. Three minutes later Reinaldo got the goal himself, with Maicon providing the pass, and that was the winner. Plzen had far more efforts on target, 12 to 2 by one count, but could not find another goal. Reinaldo went off injured in the 82nd minute. There were no penalties or red cards, and Stefan Pirgic was booked for the hosts late on. The result leaves Levski on four points from three games. Plzen have lost all three, with two goals scored and seven conceded.
Omonia Nicosia vs Benfica (1 - 4)
Benfica beat Omonia 4-1 in Nicosia on Thursday and kept their perfect start to the Europa League league phase, with three goals in the last 40 minutes after a level first half. The visitors went ahead in the 15th minute when a shot from Claudio Echeverri was turned into his own net by Nego. Andronikos Kakoullis levelled just before the break, heading in a Jaden Montnor cross for his first goal of the season. Vangelis Pavlidis put Benfica back in front in the 49th minute, finishing the rebound after goalkeeper Fabiano saved an Alexander Bah shot. Pavlidis then hit the post, and Fredrik Aursnes made it 3-1 in the 76th after Omonia lost the ball while playing out from the back. Gianluca Prestianni added the fourth in the 85th, tapping into an empty net from a Dodi Lukébakio pass. Tomás Araújo was the only player booked. Benfica have nine points from three games, following wins over Milan and Celtic. Omonia stay on six points, with this their first defeat after beating Celje and Celta Vigo.
Olympiakos vs Sparta Prague (1 - 0)
Olympiacos Piraeus beat Sparta Prague 1-0 at the Karaiskakis Stadium in the Europa League, and the only goal came with 12 minutes left. It was goalless at the break, with the hosts doing most of the pressing and the visitors' better chances deflected off target. The breakthrough arrived in the 78th minute. FotMob records it as an own goal by Sparta's Sivert Mannsverk, while Sports Mole credits Armando González, so the scorer is not settled between the two. Referee Espen Eskås booked six players. Sparta collected four yellows, for Jaroslav Zelený (29th), Roman Macek (38th), Ebrima Singhateh (77th) and Martin Suchomel (80th). Jota Silva and Gelson Martins were cautioned for Olympiacos late on. Substitute Chiquinho was named player of the match by FotMob. Olympiacos had 23 shots to Sparta's 14 and took 60 per cent of the ball. The win lifts them to nine points from three games, with three wins out of three. Sparta had won once and drawn once before this match and are still looking for their second victory.
Lillestrøm vs Real Sociedad (0 - 6)
Real Sociedad won 6-0 at Lillestrom in the Europa League on Thursday night, their first win in this season's competition. The visitors were three goals up by the 33rd minute and the home side never found a way back into it. Sergio Gómez scored in the 25th and 27th minutes, and Mikel Oyarzabal set up both. Oyarzabal also supplied the pass for Luka Sučić to make it 3-0 in the 33rd. Lillestrom had a chance to answer just after the restart, but Thomas Lehne Olsen missed a penalty in the 46th minute, with Unai Marrero saving it for the visitors. Orri Óskarsson came off the bench and made it 4-0 in the 64th, Sučić added his second in the 72nd and Arsen Zakharyan completed the scoring in the 80th. For Real Sociedad it is a first victory in the competition and a six-goal margin that will matter if the table is close. Lillestrom leave Åråsen with nothing, having failed to score and wasted their best chance.
Jagiellonia Białystok vs Anderlecht (0 - 3)
Anderlecht left Bialystok with a 3-0 win over Jagiellonia, their first victory in this season's Europa League after two defeats to open the campaign. The visitors had been under pressure heading into the night, and coach Vitor Bruno had even called the hosts favourites beforehand. Mihajlo Cvetkovic put the Belgians ahead in the 21st minute after Hampus Finndell gave the ball away. Anderlecht had most of the first half, with six shots in the opening 20 minutes to none for the Poles. After the break Jagiellonia came back into it. Nik Prelec headed at Coosemans, and a penalty appeal after a clash between Sow and Biancone was turned down. Marten Winkler made it 0-2 in the 72nd minute after good work from substitute Enric Llansana. Eight minutes later 17-year-old Jayden Onia Seke scored his first European goal for the club. Three players were booked on each side. The result leaves Anderlecht on 3 points from 3 games, 22nd in the 36-team table. Jagiellonia stay on 3 points. Anderlecht host Gent on Sunday.
Hoffenheim vs Lyon (3 - 0)
Hoffenheim beat Lyon 3-0 at the SNP Arena in Sinsheim on Thursday night, taking their first win of this Europa League campaign. The game was goalless until the very end of the first half. Andrej Kramaric scored in the 45th minute plus four, after a scramble in the box and a Lyon clearance that came back off the line. Ahmad Daghim added a second four minutes after the restart (49th), and Adam Hlozek made it 3-0 in the 83rd. Lyon had the first real chance through Nakamura in the 10th minute, and Boudache forced a block from Baumann in the 37th. After the break they barely threatened. Hoffenheim finished with 21 shots to eight, and eight of those were on target. Mats Rots, Wouter Burger and Ozan Kabak were booked for the home side. Moussa Niakhate was booked for Lyon after the final whistle. Hoffenheim have three points from three games and sit 23rd in the table. Lyon stay 12th on six points after their first defeat of the phase.
Celtic vs Celta Vigo (1 - 2)
Celta Vigo beat Celtic 2-1 at Celtic Park in the Europa League league phase, and two goals in four minutes from Javi Rodríguez decided it. Javi Rodríguez scored in the 68th minute, with Hugo Álvarez credited with the assist, and added a second in the 71st. Celtic had 56% of the possession, but it did not stop them losing. The sources I found did not name the scorer of the home side's goal. Both clubs came into the match with two defeats from their first two league phase games, so this was the first win for Celta Vigo in the competition. Celtic now have three defeats from three.
Celje vs Salzburg (2 - 2)
Celje were two goals behind inside a minute of the second half and still left with a point, drawing 2-2 with Salzburg in the Europa League. The equaliser came in the 90th minute. Sota Kitano gave the visitors the lead after nine minutes, finishing after a pass from Damir Redzic. Jesper Lindstrom came off the bench and scored 22 seconds after the restart to make it 2-0. Celje had hit the post through Tusha in the first half, and they pulled one back in the 50th minute when Blaz Kramer finished into the far corner. Haris Tabakovic missed a chance to restore the two-goal lead late on. Then Armandas Kucys scored from close range in the 90th minute after Salzburg failed to clear. No cards or penalties were reported. The Slovenian champions had lost to Bayer Leverkusen and Omonia Nicosia without scoring, so they now have one point and their first goals of the competition. Salzburg, beaten 4-0 by AC Milan last time out, move from three points to four.
AFC Bournemouth vs AC Milan (3 - 0)
Bournemouth beat AC Milan 3-0 at the Vitality Stadium, and the match turned on the sending off of goalkeeper Mike Maignan before the half hour. The hosts were in front after eight minutes. Evanilson headed the ball against the arm of Jan Bart De Winter, and after a VAR check the referee pointed to the spot. Justin Kluivert converted. Then came the red card. Maignan, the Milan captain, struck Adams in the face during a corner and was dismissed straight away. The sources differ by a minute or two on the exact time. Marcus Tavernier scored the second penalty in the 32nd minute. Milan, down to ten men, offered little in reply. Amine Adli made it 3-0 with a free kick in the 84th minute. Bournemouth have now won all three of their Europa League games and have nine points. Milan stay on three points after a second defeat in the competition, and a top eight finish is now under threat.
Besiktas vs Crystal Palace (2 - 2)
Besiktas finished with ten men and still came away with a point, drawing 2-2 with Crystal Palace in the Europa League at the Tüpraş Stadium on Wednesday night. Wilfred Ndidi put the hosts in front in first-half stoppage time (45+2). Palace came back quickly after the break. Yeremy Pino levelled in the 51st minute, a goal that was first flagged offside before VAR let it stand, and Jean-Philippe Mateta made it 2-1 to the visitors four minutes later. Junior Olaitan brought Besiktas level in the 73rd minute. Soon afterwards Ümit Akdağ was sent off for a hard challenge on Strand Larsen, with the red card shown around the 77th or 78th minute depending on the source. No penalties were given. Besiktas have 7 points from three games and are still unbeaten in the league phase. Crystal Palace have 4 points. The hosts travel to Celtic on 5 November.
Thun vs Hajduk Split (0 - 1)
No match report for Thun v Hajduk Split on 22 October 2026 could be found, so I haven't written a recap. The searches returned only previews, broadcast listings and a live-score page. The Sofascore page snippet suggested Hajduk led 1-0 through Dalisson de Almeida in the 17th minute. I couldn't open the page to check that, and it doesn't confirm the final score, any other events or the match context. Writing a recap from that would mean inventing facts. Try again once outlets such as UEFA.com or Sky Sports have published reports.
Monaco vs Freiburg (3 - 0)
Monaco beat Freiburg 3-0 at the Stade Louis II on Thursday night. They led by one goal for most of the game, then added two more in the closing minutes. Paris Brunner opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time (45+2), set up by Edan Diop. It was his eighth goal in nine games this season. The second came in the 83rd minute. Ansu Fati had a shot saved by Mio Backhaus, and Lamine Camara put away the rebound. Fati then scored himself in the 91st minute, with Matthis Abline providing the pass. Freiburg had 12 shots, but only one hit the target, and Lukas Hradecky saved it. Yannik Engelhardt went off injured after 14 minutes. Coach Julian Schuster was booked for complaining. Monaco move up to sixth with six points from two games, inside the top eight. Freiburg are 18th on three points, in the playoff places.
Midtjylland vs Sint-Truiden (0 - 1)
St. Truiden won 1-0 away at Midtjylland in the Conference League on Thursday night in Herning. They hit the woodwork three times, and the visitors' goalkeeper was still needed late on to protect the lead. The only goal came three minutes before the break. Robert-Jan Vanwesemael sent a cross in from the flank and Frederic Soèllé headed it home from close range in the 42nd minute. Midtjylland had the better of the early pressure, but St. Truiden finished with around 58% of the possession. Mbuku struck the right post in the 23rd minute, and Ilias Sebaoui hit the same post in the 77th and the crossbar in the 86th. At the other end the St. Truiden keeper kept out a Friday Etim shot in the 63rd minute. Pedro Bravo was booked for Midtjylland and came off at half-time with an injury. Ryan Merlen was replaced by the visitors in the 72nd minute. The win lifts St. Truiden into the upper part of the league phase table. Midtjylland remain near the bottom after a second round defeat on home soil.
Lincoln Red Imps vs Twente (1 - 4)
No match report could be written. I searched twice and found no published articles on Lincoln Red Imps vs Twente. The only results were fixture listings, live-score shells and previews, and the match was still listed as not started. None of them gave a final score, scorers, minutes or events, so I have nothing to base a recap on beyond the 1-4 you supplied. Writing goal scorers or incidents without sources would mean inventing them. Try again once match reports from UEFA.com, Sky Sports or Dutch outlets are live.
Sporting Braga vs Gent (2 - 0)
Braga beat Gent 2-0 at home in the Conference League on Thursday night, with a goal in the third minute and another in the 76th. Víctor Gómez put the hosts ahead almost straight away, finishing a move that Gorby set up. After that the match settled into a scrappy spell. Three players were booked before the break: Barisic for Gent in the 27th minute, Paskotsi in the 32nd and Tiago Sá in the 40th. Both goalkeepers were kept busy, with Braga's Ricardo Horta among those denied. The second goal came from Martínez, who had been on the pitch for only five minutes after replacing Gabriel Silva. Gómez provided the pass. A VAR check followed, and the 2-0 scoreline stood at full time. There were no red cards and no penalties. It was Braga's answer to the 3-0 defeat at FC Copenhagen in their previous Conference League game, and it came on matchday two of the league phase. Gent leave Portugal without a goal.
Borac Banja Luka vs KuPS (2 - 0)
Borac Banja Luka beat KuPS 2-0 at home on Thursday night, collecting their first win in this season's Conference League after a 2-1 defeat at Panathinaikos on the opening matchday. Savić opened the scoring in the 29th minute with a shot from around 20 metres. It took a deflection off a KuPS player and beat goalkeeper Kreidl. Borac led 1-0 at the break and doubled the lead five minutes after the restart. Deket finished past the keeper in the 50th minute, set up by Juričić. KuPS never found a way back. Juričić hit the crossbar in the 87th minute, though the effort was ruled out for offside. No penalties were given. Herrera was booked for Borac in the 78th minute, and Lötjönen went into the book for the Finns in stoppage time. For Borac it is three points on the board after one loss. KuPS have now lost both games, having gone down 4-2 at home to Trabzonspor in round one. Their next match is at home to Gent on 5 November.
Ajax vs Atalanta (2 - 0)
Ajax beat Atalanta 2-0 at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, and both goals came in the last few minutes after a goalless 86. It was their first win in this season's Conference League, following the 2-1 defeat at Hajduk Split on matchday one. Ajax made the better start. Rosa hit the inside of the post and a goal from Mokio was ruled out for offside against Klaassen. Brandt threatened twice early in the second half, then Atalanta worked their way into the game. Zalewski wasted a good counterattack chance for the visitors. Tolu Arokodare, on as a substitute, broke the deadlock in the 87th minute. Youri Baas played a long ball, Arokodare held off his marker and finished past Carnesecchi. In the 93rd minute substitute Abdellah Ouazane dribbled into the box and curled a shot in off the underside of the bar. Ajax now have three points and, according to one report, sit 13th in the league phase. Atalanta lost 3-2 to AC Milan last Sunday and leave Amsterdam with a second straight defeat.
AGF vs Egnatia Rrogozhinë (1 - 1)
AGF played almost the whole match with ten men and still came away from Randers with a 1-1 draw against Egnatia in the Conference League. The home side were in trouble after three minutes, when Eric Kahl was shown a red card for a professional foul. Egnatia took the lead in the 13th minute. Ildi Gruda finished from the left side of the box after a fast break, set up by Daniel Adjessa. Jesper Hansen then kept AGF level at the break with saves from Albano Aleksi and Altin Kryeziu. AGF equalised four minutes after half-time. James Bogere, who came on at the interval, hit a shot from outside the box in the 49th minute, played through by Sebastian Jørgensen. Egnatia had 66% of the ball and 13 shots to AGF's nine, but picked up five yellow cards and could not find a winner. The point leaves AGF with something to show for a night that began with a sending off, while Egnatia will wonder how they failed to beat ten men.
Sturm Graz vs Marseille (1 - 0)
Sturm Graz beat Marseille 1-0 in the Europa League on Thursday night, and the visitors are still waiting for their first point after three games. The decider was an error from the back in the opening minutes. Oumar Diakité scored in the 13th minute (one report has it a minute earlier). Young defender Nouhoum Kamissoko misplayed a pass out from defence, Weinhandl won the ball and set up Diakité, who ran in and beat Jeffrey de Lange with his right foot. Marseille had most of the ball, around 74 per cent after the break, but managed just one shot on target all night. Keyliane Abdallah hit the post just before half-time. De Lange made several saves at the other end to keep the margin at one. No cards were shown. For Marseille it is a third straight European defeat, after losses to Besiktas and Olympiacos, and they sit 34th of 36. Next up is a trip to Bayer Leverkusen in early November. Sturm Graz collect their first win of the campaign.
Union Saint-Gilloise vs Hapoel Be'er Sheva (4 - 0)
Royale Union SG beat H. Beer Sheva 4-0 in the Europa League league phase, in a match played in Düsseldorf behind closed doors after Leuven refused to host it. The visitors started the better side and hit the woodwork through I. Zlatanović in the 38th minute, but the game turned right at the break. Raul Florucz, on for the injured Mateo Biondic in the 14th minute, won and scored a penalty in first-half stoppage time after Rotman fouled him. Ten minutes into the second half, a Guilherme Smith shot took a deflection off Rotman and went in (one record credits Smith, another gives Rotman an own goal). Dylan Aquino, a first-half replacement for the injured D. Olaru, made it 3-0 in the 77th minute, and Smith added a fourth in the 81st, set up by Denzel De Roeve. There were no red cards. Union stay unbeaten in the competition with 7 points from three games and visit Celta Vigo on 5 November. Beer Sheva have one point from their opening games and need results to stay in the top 24.
OFI vs Bayer Leverkusen (0 - 2)
Bayer Leverkusen won 0-2 at OFI Crete in Heraklion, and both goals came from one man in the space of three minutes. Jonas Hofmann, only called up on Tuesday as cover for the injured Martin Terrier, was the difference. The home side had the first real chance, Thiago Nuss forcing a save from Janis Blaswich around the 10th minute. Blaswich was in goal in place of the usual keeper Mark Flekken. Leverkusen then took over. OFI keeper Klidman Lilo stopped efforts from Patrik Schick and Hofmann, but could do nothing about the opener in the 35th minute. A long shot from Afonso Moreira was parried and Hofmann tapped in from close range. He added a second in the 38th, finishing centrally from a pass by Malik Tillman. The second half belonged to Lilo. He denied Hofmann a hat-trick in the 50th minute, and Blaswich turned away a long effort from Charalampos Kostoulas. A deflected attempt from Taxiarchis Fountas in the 64th minute narrowly missed. It was Leverkusen's third win in three Europa League games, with no goals conceded, and their sixth in a row in all competitions. OFI have three points from three, after beating Hoffenheim and losing at Rennes.
Lech Poznań vs Sunderland (1 - 1)
Lech Poznan and Sunderland shared a 1-1 draw in the Europa League on Thursday night, a game that began almost before the home fans had found their seats and was only settled in the second half. Sunderland led after 78 seconds. Mateusz Lis played a poor pass out from the back, and Timur Tutierov punished it to make it 1-0 in the 2nd minute. The visitors then controlled much of the first half and created several chances, but Lis made a string of saves to keep the deficit at one. Jenson Danso collected the game's first yellow card in the 42nd minute for a high challenge. Lech Poznan grew in confidence after the break and made attacking changes. Substitute Leo Bengtsson levelled in the 70th minute, finishing from a corner. Neither side found a winner after that, although Sunderland finished with 25 shots to Lech's 16. Both clubs are back in action on 5 November. Sunderland host Dinamo Zagreb, while Lech Poznan travel to Benfica.
Juventus vs Rennes (2 - 2)
Juventus were denied a winner in the 88th minute when a goal from Jhon Lucumi was ruled out for offside after a VAR check. That left the Europa League game at the Allianz Stadium level at 2-2 against Rennes. Zeki Celik put the home side ahead after five minutes, finishing a counter-attack that Nick Woltemade set up. Mousa Al-Tamari levelled in the 15th, converting from close range after a header by Bryan Reynolds. Just before the break Douglas Luiz handled the ball in his own area, and Boulaye Dia scored the penalty to put Rennes in front. Juventus got their own spot kick in the 67th minute, when Reynolds handled a header by Nico Gonzalez. Woltemade scored it, his third goal in three games in the competition. The draw leaves Juventus fourth with seven points from three games, though they have now failed to win their last two Europa League matches. It followed a 3-0 home loss to Lazio in Serie A. Rennes sit 13th on five points, with no defeat so far.
Ferencváros vs Torreense (4 - 1)
Ferencvaros beat Torreense 4-1 in the Europa League on Thursday night, though the game was level at the break and only opened up in the second half. Bamidele Yusuf put the hosts ahead in the 20th minute, but Manu Pozo levelled three minutes later and it stayed 1-1 until half-time. Mariano Gomez restored the lead in the 58th minute. Torreense then gave away the third themselves, when Mohamed Ali Diadie turned the ball into his own net in the 80th minute. Krisztian Lisztes added the fourth in the 89th, set up by Lenny Joseph. It was a bookable night rather than a bloody one. There were six yellow cards, three of them for Ferencvaros players in the second half, but no red cards and no penalties. For Ferencvaros it is a home win with three goals scored after the hour mark. Torreense scored once and also put one into their own goal.
Dinamo Zagreb vs NEC (2 - 4)
NEC Nijmegen took their first points of the Europa League campaign with a 4-2 win at Dinamo Zagreb, and the visitors had to come from behind in the first half to get them. Clement Bischoff put NEC in front on 25 minutes, finishing in the near corner after a long ball from Tobias Storm. Dion Drena Beljo then turned the game round for Dinamo, heading in a cross from Perez Vinlof on 33 and scoring again four minutes later after Stojkovic set him up on the break. Luka Ivanusec had a goal ruled out for offside around the same time. Bryan Linssen headed in an equaliser at the end of the half. NEC took the lead for the first time on 55 minutes through Tjaronn Chery, who scored after a Linssen cross. Chery added a long-range strike on 80 to make it 4-2. NEC had lost 5-0 to Juventus and drawn with Levski Sofia, so this was their first win. It is Dinamo's first defeat of the competition, and they travel to Sunderland on 5 November.
Ararat-Armenia vs AZ (0 - 4)
AZ Alkmaar won 4-0 at Ararat-Armenia in Yerevan on Thursday, a second win in a row in this season's Europa League. The game was effectively decided inside the first half hour, when the Dutch side scored twice. Valdemar Byskov opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a free kick. Six minutes later Weslley Patati made it 2-0, and that was the score at the break. Ararat-Armenia got nothing back after the interval. Patati added his second in the 76th minute, and Mexx Meerdink completed the scoring around the 79th. Mexican defender Mateo Chavez was on the AZ Alkmaar bench and did not get on. For AZ Alkmaar it is back-to-back wins in the league phase and a comfortable four-goal margin to take home. Ararat-Armenia have now lost three matches in a row in the competition, after a 4-1 home defeat to Sparta Prague in their opening game, and have yet to find a goal against this level of opposition tonight.
Trabzonspor vs Hearts (2 - 0)
Trabzonspor beat Hearts 2-0 at Papara Park in the Conference League, and a first-half penalty settled the direction of the night. The spot kick came in the 31st minute, when Magnusson brought down Franculino Dju inside the area. Mohamed Salah took responsibility from 12 yards and scored a minute later, in the 32nd by the official count, to put the hosts in front. Hearts had to come out and chase the game after that, but they found no way back. Midway through the second half Salah turned provider, and Dju finished to make it 2-0 in the 58th minute. The same player who won the penalty therefore added the second goal, with the Egyptian involved in both. The result gives Trabzonspor two wins from two in the competition and six points. Hearts leave Turkey with nothing and will need to find a response in their next league phase match.
Pafos vs Riga (1 - 1)
Pafos and Riga FC shared a 1-1 draw in Cyprus, and the visitors will feel they let something better slip. Caio Ferreira put Riga FC in front in the 67th minute, only for Biel to level nine minutes later. The first half was goalless but busy. Reginaldo Ramires had a goal ruled out for offside after a VAR check in the sixth minute, and Anderson saw one chalked off for Pafos soon after. Aouani hit the woodwork for the visitors in the 33rd minute, and by the break Riga FC had created the better chances. Ferreira scored in his first minute on the pitch, finishing after a cross from Oulad. Pafos improved after coach Sa Pinto made changes at half-time, and Biel drove a shot from inside the box after a pass from Sema. Bruno headed towards goal in stoppage time, but Piric blocked it. It is the first point of the league phase for Pafos, who lost their opener to Atalanta. Riga FC travel to Grobiņa in the Latvian league on 26 October.
Nordsjælland vs CSKA Sofia (2 - 2)
CSKA Sofia left Farum with a point after Leandro Godoy scored in the 88th minute to make it 2-2 against Nordsjaelland in the Conference League. The goal stood after a VAR review. Godoy had given the visitors the lead in the 8th minute, set up by Stefano Sensi. The hosts came back after the break through Ibrahim Adel, who levelled in the 55th minute from a Noah Markmann assist and put his side in front in the 67th with help from Alexander Lind. The game turned again in the 76th minute, when Justin Janssen picked up a second yellow card and Nordsjaelland had to play the last quarter of an hour a man short. Godoy took advantage twelve minutes later. Four more players were booked in stoppage time. It was gameweek two for both clubs, and each takes one point. CSKA Sofia put five shots on target to the hosts' three.
