ዶሚኒካን ሪፐብሊክ

The Dominican Republic national football team represents a Caribbean nation where baseball has historically dominated the sporting landscape. Governed by the Federación Dominicana de Fútbol and affiliated with FIFA and CONCACAF, the team plays home matches at the Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez in Santo Domingo (27,000 capacity). The Dominican Republic has never qualified for the FIFA World Cup, but has shown steady growth under recent coaching setups, competing in the CONCACAF Nations League and Gold Cup qualifying. Notable players in recent years include Carlos Castellanos and goalkeeper Ángel García. The country's large diaspora, particularly in the United States, has helped expand the pool of players available to the national team. Football continues to grow at youth level, encouraged by CONCACAF and domestic federation investment in infrastructure and coaching development.
