Match Report
Scotland delivered a commanding 4-0 victory over Bolivia in a pre-World Cup friendly in Harrison, New Jersey. The Scots were unstoppable from the first whistle, setting the tone with an early header from Lawrence Shankland, assisted by Andy Robertson.
Shankland opened the scoring in the 5th minute before Scott McTominay added a composed second on 23 minutes. Ché Adams then delivered a superb brace — finishing from a Ben Doak cross on 30 minutes and completing the rout just before the break with an unassisted strike. Bolivia's frustration mounted throughout, with yellow cards shown to Fernandez (36'), Miguelito (52'), and Melgar (58') as the Scots controlled every phase.
The result sends Scotland into their first World Cup since 1998 in excellent form, with Steve Clarke's side looking sharp and clinical. For Bolivia, absent from the tournament after failing to qualify through a playoff, it was a tough evening with few positives to take away.
