Match Report
Serbia came from behind to beat Saudi Arabia 2-1 in an international friendly at the TSC Arena in Backa Topola on Tuesday. A stunning bicycle kick from Strahinja Pavlovic stole the show as the Eagles mounted a second-half fightback.
The Green Falcons struck first when Abdullah Al-Hamdan pounced on a mistake by Aleksa Terzic to slot home in the 8th minute. Saudi Arabia carried that lead into half-time with Serbia struggling to find a response.
Pavlovic changed everything in the 66th minute with a spectacular overhead kick to level the scores. Just four minutes later, Aleksandar Mitrovic rose highest to power a header home and complete the turnaround.
Saudi Arabia barely threatened after going behind, failing to test goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic in the second half. For Serbia, it was a morale-boosting win ahead of their World Cup preparations, while the Green Falcons will have concerns about their inability to hold a lead.
