Match Report
Leeds United put in a composed display at Elland Road, beating already-relegated Burnley 3-1 to push themselves to the verge of Premier League safety. Anton Stach set the tone immediately, firing near post past goalkeeper Dubravka in just the eighth minute, and Leeds never looked back — dominating 65% of possession and shutting the Clarets out completely in the first half.
Stach's opener proved only the start. Noah Okafor doubled the lead shortly after the restart (52'), and Dominic Calvert-Lewin bundled in a rebound just four minutes later to effectively end the contest, though the challenge left Dubravka with an injury concern. Loum Tchaouna gave the travelling Burnley faithful something to cheer with a finish from a half-blocked shot on 71 minutes, but it was little more than a consolation.
The victory moves Daniel Farke's Leeds nine points clear of the drop zone with three games remaining — survival is now all but mathematically secured. For Burnley, already condemned to the Championship, it was a deflating afternoon that underlined the gulf between the sides this season.
