Burnley
Burnley Football Club, founded on May 18, 1882, and one of the 12 founding members of the Football League in 1888, plays at Turf Moor in the proud Lancashire town — the second longest-serving football league ground in England with a capacity of 21,944. The club has won the English top-flight title twice (1920-21, 1959-60), the FA Cup in 1914, and are one of only five clubs to have won all four professional divisions. Sean Dyche's era delivered a remarkable seventh-place Premier League finish in 2017-18, earning European qualification for only the second time in the club's history. After championship-winning and relegation cycles, Scott Parker's 2024-25 Burnley side set the Football League record for defensive excellence — conceding just 16 goals in 46 matches with 30 clean sheets — earning promotion as runners-up with 100 points in a performance of extraordinary defensive discipline.
