Match Report
Arsenal kept their title charge alive with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over already-relegated Burnley at the Emirates, the Gunners grinding out just enough to extend their grip at the summit.
The only goal came in the 37th minute — Kai Havertz rising to head home from a Bukayo Saka cross, moments after a Martin Odegaard effort had been deflected wide. Tension lingered throughout: Saka saw a first-half penalty claim overturned by VAR, Leandro Trossard rattled the post, and Havertz was fortunate not to be dismissed after VAR declined to upgrade his yellow card for a studs-high foul on Lesley Ugochukwu.
The win moves Arsenal five points clear with one match to go, putting a first league title since the 2003-04 Invincibles within arm's reach. Burnley, already relegated, gave a fighting account at the Emirates — but their season is over.
