Match Report

Inter win at De Kuip as Feyenoord fall to a fourth Champions League loss

Inter left Rotterdam with a 3-0 win over Feyenoord on Tuesday night, a result that was never in much doubt after the first half hour. The visitors scored early, added a second before the break and a third soon after it, and the home side had no answer. Yann Bisseck opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a left-footed shot from the right side of the box, after a pass from Djed Spence. Pio Esposito made it 2-0 in the 34th minute with a header from a deflected cross. Piotr Zielinski then struck from outside the box just before the hour (54th minute by most accounts) to make it 3-0. Esposito thought he had a fourth around the 66th minute, but VAR ruled it out for offside. It was not a quiet game off the ball either. Hakan Calhanoglu was booked in the 3rd minute for a late tackle, and Manuel Akanji and Feyenoord's Gjivai Zechiel both went into the book just before half-time after a confrontation. There were no red cards. For Inter it is a first win after defeats to Club Brugge and Real Madrid, taking them to 6 points from four games. Feyenoord stay on 3 points after losing at Barcelona and Betis and beating Como.
