Feyenoord Blow Two-Goal Lead in Eredivisie Draw
Feyenoord let a two-goal lead slip at De Kuip as Go Ahead Eagles fought back for a 2-2 draw in the Eredivisie. The home side dominated for an hour, but a sloppy second half let the visitors back into it, and they left Rotterdam with a deserved point.
Gjivai Zechiël broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute before Ayase Ueda headed in a second six minutes later. Soren Tengstedt halved the deficit in the 63rd minute, and Stefan Sigurdarson headed home from a free kick in the 81st to complete the comeback. Read was forced off with a thigh injury, and Mármol's late volley cannoned off the crossbar as Feyenoord chased a winner.
For Feyenoord, it is a costly stumble after dominating for long stretches, raising familiar questions about their second-half discipline. Go Ahead Eagles will be delighted with the resilience shown to salvage a point on the road.
