US Sassuolo
US Sassuolo Calcio, founded in 1920, is a club from the small town of Sassuolo in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. Playing in Serie A, the club is closely associated with the Mapei Corporation, which took over ownership in 2002 and transformed it from a lower-division side into a top-flight regular. Sassuolo plays at the Mapei Stadium in nearby Reggio Emilia. Known as the Neroverdi for their black and green colours, the club became famous under coach Roberto De Zerbi for a bold, attacking style built on high pressing and fluid positional play. They reached the Europa League twice and have produced talented players including Domenico Berardi, who spent most of his career at the club.
