Associazione Sportiva Roma, founded on June 7, 1927, through the merger of three Roman clubs and playing at the Stadio Olimpico in the Eternal City, embodies the giallorossi (yellow and red) identity of Rome itself. The club has won three Serie A titles (1942, 1983, 2001) and nine Coppa Italia trophies, and reached the 1984 European Cup final, heartbreakingly losing a penalty shootout to Liverpool on their own ground.
