Oriente Petrolero

Oriente Petrolero is one of Bolivia's most prominent football clubs, founded in 1955 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, the country's largest city and economic capital. The club competes in the Bolivian Primera División and has historically been one of the most successful sides in Bolivian football, winning multiple national championship titles. They play home matches at the Estadio Ramón Tahuichi Aguilera, a 38,000-capacity stadium and one of the largest football venues in Bolivia. The club has also participated in the CONMEBOL Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, representing Santa Cruz at the continental level. Named after the oil industry that shaped the region, Oriente Petrolero has developed numerous Bolivian internationals and remains a dominant force in eastern Bolivian football.
