Independiente Rivadavia
Independiente Rivadavia was founded in 1913 in Mendoza, Argentina, and is one of the most storied clubs in the Cuyo region. The club plays its home matches at the Estadio Juan Bautista Gargantini, which holds around 16,000 spectators. Historically competing between the Primera División and lower divisions, Independiente Rivadavia has spent much of recent decades in the Primera Nacional, Argentina's second tier, before earning promotion back to the Liga Profesional. Known locally as "La Lepra" or "El Cervecero," the club has produced several talented players who have gone on to represent top Argentine clubs. The team enjoys strong local support in Mendoza and has a long-standing rivalry with Godoy Cruz. Their blue and white colours are a source of deep civic pride across the province.
