Competing in the Liga Profesional Argentina, the club plays home matches at the Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó, known affectionately as El Palacio, which holds an impressive 48,314 spectators. Nicknamed El Globo (The Balloon), Huracán won the Argentine Primera División title in 1973 under legendary coach César Luis Menotti, who went on to lead Argentina to the 1978 World Cup. The club has a rich footballing history and has produced notable players including René Houseman and Roque Alfaro.
