Celtic Glasgow FC
Celtic Football Club, founded on November 6, 1887, by Irish Marist Brother Walfrid to alleviate poverty among Glasgow's Irish immigrant community, plays at Celtic Park in Parkhead — Scotland's largest stadium with a 60,411 capacity. The club has won the Scottish league championship a joint-record 55 times, the Scottish Cup 42 times, and the League Cup 22 times, accumulating over 120 major honours. The pinnacle of Celtic's history came in 1967 when manager Jock Stein's 'Lisbon Lions' — composed entirely of players born within 30 miles of the ground — became the first British club to win the European Cup, defeating Inter Milan 2-1 in Lisbon. Jimmy Johnstone, Henrik Larsson, and Kenny Dalglish are among the legends who have defined the club's identity, while under Brendan Rodgers the club claimed back-to-back Scottish Premiership titles in 2023-24 and 2024-25.
