Club Atletico Union de Santa Fe was founded on 8 April 1918 in the city of Santa Fe, Argentina. Nicknamed 'El Tatengue', the club plays in the Argentine Primera Division and has its home ground at the Estadio 15 de Abril, commonly known as El Quince, with a capacity of approximately 23,000 fans. Union spent much of its history in the lower divisions but consolidated its place in the top flight and reached its greatest moment by finishing as runner-up in the Copa Sudamericana in 2017. The club shares a passionate crosstown rivalry with Colon de Santa Fe, a fixture known as the Clasico Santafesino. Union is deeply embedded in the working-class culture of Santa Fe and has a loyal, fervent support base throughout the city and province.
