British Virgin Islands

The British Virgin Islands national football team represents the British Overseas Territory in CONCACAF international competitions, competing in World Cup qualifiers and regional tournaments. Governed by the British Virgin Islands Football Association, affiliated with FIFA and CONCACAF, the team operates with a very small player pool drawn from the islands' population of approximately 35,000. The BVI national team has historically faced challenges competing against larger CONCACAF nations, typically participating in the early qualifying rounds of CONCACAF competitions. Home matches are played at the A. O. Shirley Recreation Ground on Tortola, the main island. Despite limited resources, the BVIFA has worked to develop youth football on the islands, with some BVI-eligible players also having experience in professional leagues overseas.
