Wrexham

Wrexham Association Football Club was founded in 1864, making them one of the oldest football clubs in the world and the oldest in Wales. The club is based in Wrexham, north Wales, and plays at the iconic Racecourse Ground, the world's oldest international football stadium still in use. After Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney purchased the club in 2020, Wrexham gained global attention. The new ownership fuelled an extraordinary rise from the National League back to the English Football League and subsequently into the Championship. Known as 'The Red Dragons', Wrexham have rekindled passion for the beautiful game in Wales, blending celebrity ownership with genuine footballing ambition and a deeply rooted community identity.
