Coritiba

Coritiba Foot Ball Club was founded in 1909 by German immigrants and is the oldest and most decorated football club in the state of Paraná, Brazil. Based in Curitiba, they play at the Estádio Couto Pereira, built in 1932 with a capacity of 40,000. Wearing white and green, Coritiba are nicknamed Coxa-Branca or Fantasma. They were the first Paraná club to win the Brazilian Championship, claiming the title in 1985. In 2011, the club set a remarkable Guinness World Record by winning 24 consecutive matches. Coritiba also hold the state record of six consecutive Campeonato Paranaense titles (1971–1976). Their fiercest rivalry is with Athletico Paranaense in the legendary Atletiba derby, one of Brazil's most passionate local contests. The club has won three Série B titles (2007, 2010, 2025).
