Nacional Potosí

Club Nacional de Fútbol, commonly known as Nacional Potosí, is one of Bolivia's most historic football clubs, founded in 1942 in the city of Potosí, one of the highest cities in the world at over 4,000 metres altitude. Competing in the Bolivian Primera División, the club has participated multiple times in the CONMEBOL Libertadores, representing the Potosí region at continental level. They play home matches at Estadio Víctor Agustín Ugarte, a venue with a capacity of around 35,000, where the high altitude gives them a considerable advantage over visiting opponents. The club's distinctive red and black colours are a symbol of regional pride in the mining city of Potosí, which has a rich football tradition stretching back to the early twentieth century.
