The Bahamas national football team is governed by the Bahamas Football Association (BFA), a member of CONCACAF and FIFA. The team competes in CONCACAF qualifying tournaments including FIFA World Cup preliminaries and Gold Cup qualifiers, representing the Caribbean archipelago nation. Football has grown steadily in the Bahamas, supported by grassroots development programmes and increased youth participation. The squad is primarily composed of locally based players, with some diaspora connections, and plays home matches at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium in Nassau. While major tournament qualification has been challenging given regional competition from stronger CONCACAF nations, the Bahamas national team continues to participate regularly in international competition and remains committed to developing the sport across the island chain.
