CA Rosario Central

Club Atletico Rosario Central was founded on 24 December 1889 in Rosario, Argentina, making it one of the oldest football clubs in South America. Originally created by British railway workers, the club is known as 'El Canalla' and plays in the Argentine Primera Division. Their home ground is the Estadio Gigante de Arroyito in Rosario, which holds approximately 42,000 fans. Rosario Central has won six Argentine Primera Division titles and reached the Copa Libertadores final in 1995. The club shares one of Argentine football's most intense rivalries with Newell's Old Boys in the Clasico Rosarino. Rosario Central has produced world-class talents including Marcelo Gallardo, Angel Di Maria, and Erik Lamela. The club is deeply woven into the culture and identity of the city of Rosario.
