Gimnasia Mendoza
Club Atlético Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza, known as Gimnasia Mendoza, was founded in 1908 in the city of Mendoza, in the Cuyo region of western Argentina. The club competes in the Liga Profesional Argentina and plays home matches at the Estadio Víctor Antonio Legrotaglie, which has a capacity of 11,500 spectators. Nicknamed El Lobo de la Alameda, the club is one of the most traditional institutions in Mendoza's sporting culture. After years in the lower divisions of Argentine football, Gimnasia Mendoza has worked to establish itself in the professional top flight, drawing support from a passionate Cuyo fan base. The club emphasises local player development and has contributed to regional football in western Argentina. Their presence in the Liga Profesional represents ongoing growth for football in Argentina's interior provinces.
