Estudiantes

Club Estudiantes de La Plata, founded in 1905, is one of Argentine football's most historic and celebrated clubs, based in La Plata, Buenos Aires Province. They compete in the Liga Profesional Argentina and play home matches at the Estadio Jorge Luis Hirschi, which accommodates 30,018 spectators. Known as El Pincha, Estudiantes achieved global fame in the late 1960s under coach Osvaldo Zubeldía, winning three consecutive Copa Libertadores titles (1968, 1969, 1970) and the Intercontinental Cup in 1968. They added a fourth Copa Libertadores in 2009 under Juan Sebastián Verón, who served as both player and later president. Verón is the club's most iconic figure. Estudiantes are famous for their disciplined, tactical football and have produced generations of quality Argentine players who have gone on to succeed in Europe and globally.
