Angola

Het Angolese nationale voetbalelftal, bekend als de Palancas Negras (Zwarte Sabelantilopen), wordt bestuurd door de Federação Angolana de Futebol. Angola kwalificeerde zich voor het WK 2006 in Duitsland, hun enige WK-deelname tot nu toe, waarbij ze de groepsfase bereikten. Ze namen regelmatig deel aan de Africa Cup of Nations en bereikten de kwartfinales in 2008 en 2010. Topschutter Flávio Amado was een historische sleutelfiguur. Angola speelt thuiswedstrijden in Luanda. De binnenlandse Girabola-competitie levert talent voor zowel het nationale elftal als clubs in Europa en Afrika. Angola blijft streven naar betere resultaten in AFCON en WK-kwalificaties.
