Wyspy Salomona

The Solomon Islands national football team, governed by the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) and affiliated with both FIFA and the OFC, competes within the Oceania Football Confederation region. Founded in 1978 following national independence, the team has become one of the stronger sides in Oceania. They have won the OFC Nations Cup twice, in 2012 and 2024, and regularly qualify for OFC qualification playoffs. The Solomon Islands participated in the FIFA World Cup qualification rounds and also competes in the Pacific Games football tournament. Home matches are played at Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara. The team has produced standout talents who have gone on to play professionally in Australia and Europe, raising the profile of football across the island nation and inspiring youth participation in the sport.
