Baltika
FC Baltika Kaliningrad was founded in 1954 and is the principal football club of Kaliningrad, Russia's westernmost exclave on the Baltic Sea. The club has spent most of its history competing in the lower tiers of Russian football but has periodically risen to the top flight. Baltika plays its home matches at the Kaliningrad Stadium, a modern 35,212-capacity arena built for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which hosted four group-stage matches during the tournament. The club has been a rallying point for the local community and carries significant cultural importance for the region. In recent seasons Baltika returned to the Russian Premier League, providing top-flight football to an area long accustomed to lower-division competition. The club's navy-blue identity reflects its coastal Baltic heritage.
