FC Famalicão is a Portuguese football club founded in 1931 in Vila Nova de Famalicão, a city in the northwestern Braga district known for its textile industry. The club plays at the Estádio Municipal 22 de Junho, with a capacity of around 8,000 spectators. Famalicão spent most of their history in the lower divisions but won promotion to the Primeira Liga ahead of the 2019–20 season, finishing a remarkable fifth in their debut campaign and competing in European qualification. They have since remained in the top flight, building a reputation as an ambitious provincial club punching above their weight. Players such as Rúben Lameiras have featured during their Primeira Liga seasons.
