FC Alverca

FC Alverca is a Portuguese football club founded in 1922 in Alverca do Ribatejo, a town located in the Lisbon district. The club competes in the Portuguese Primeira Liga and plays its home matches at the Estádio Municipal de Alverca. Historically associated with the nearby TAP Air Portugal facilities, the club had a strong period in Portuguese football during the late 1990s and early 2000s, competing at the top level and in European competition. After years in the lower divisions, Alverca made a significant resurgence and returned to the Primeira Liga. The club is known for its resilient character and strong community base, drawing support from the industrious Ribatejo region just north of Lisbon.
