Papua-Nowa Gwinea
The Papua New Guinea national football team, known as the Kapuls, is governed by the Papua New Guinea Football Association and competes in the OFC (Oceania Football Confederation). Papua New Guinea is one of the stronger sides in Oceanian football, regularly competing in OFC Nations Cup editions and World Cup qualifying rounds within the confederation. The team has produced players who have competed in Australian and other Pacific football leagues. Home matches are typically played at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby, which holds around 15,000 spectators. Despite being a developing football nation, Papua New Guinea has invested in youth development and has seen growing participation in grassroots football across its diverse island geography.
