The Guyana national football team, known as the Golden Jaguars, competes under the governance of the Guyana Football Federation and is affiliated with both FIFA and CONCACAF. Founded in 1902, the team is one of the older football associations in the Caribbean region. Guyana has participated in CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifying rounds and Caribbean Cup competitions, though major tournament qualification has remained a challenge. The country has produced several players who have pursued professional careers abroad, including in the North American Soccer League and lower-tier European football. The team plays its home matches at the Providence Stadium in Georgetown and continues to develop football infrastructure to improve its standing in Caribbean and CONCACAF competitions in the coming years.
