Sport-Club Freiburg was founded in 1904 and is based in Freiburg im Breisgau in Baden-Württemberg, southwestern Germany. The club competes in the Bundesliga and plays at the Europa-Park Stadion, a state-of-the-art arena that opened in 2021 with a capacity of around 34,700 spectators. Known as the Breisgau-Brasilianer, a playful nickname highlighting their fluid, attacking style, Freiburg is one of German football's great success stories.
