Match Report
A late strike from substitute João Palhinha handed Tottenham Hotspur a hard-fought 1-0 win at Molineux on Saturday, ending a miserable 15-game winless run in the Premier League.
The decisive moment came in the 82nd minute when fellow substitute Richarlison swivelled and hooked a shot toward goal from a corner delivered by Pedro Porro, and Palhinha was on hand to prod home at the back post. It was an underwhelming game overall — neither side managed a shot on target in the first half — and Spurs were also hampered by injuries to Dominic Solanke and Xavi Simons.
The victory, Tottenham's first league win of 2026 and their first under new manager Roberto De Zerbi, briefly lifted them out of the relegation zone. But a last-gasp West Ham winner elsewhere kept Spurs inside the bottom three on 34 points with four games remaining. Wolves, already relegated, head into the final weeks with nothing left to play for.
