A packed Arena Fonte Nova watched Bahia and Vitória share the spoils in a fiery Ba-Vi derby, drawing 1-1 in Round 5 of the Serie A. Over 43,000 fans were treated to a frantic end to the first half that produced both goals in the space of four minutes. Vitória struck first through Ramon on 46 minutes, who spotted goalkeeper Ronaldo off his line and produced a sublime chip to send the away fans wild. The lead was short-lived, though — Jean Lucas popped up just four minutes later to nod home from a cross and restore parity for the hosts. Bahia dominated possession and Erick rattled the woodwork, but could not find a winner despite their pressure. It was the first draw in the Ba-Vi rivalry this season after two straight Bahia victories. The point keeps Bahia in the top four on eight points, while Vitória sit on just three and will need to start picking up wins soon.
