Belarus vs Syria
Match Report
Belarus dominated Syria 4-1 at the National Stadium in Minsk in an international friendly that was effectively over before it had barely begun.
Vladislav Morozov opened the scoring in just the 3rd minute, and Artem Kontsevoy doubled the lead eight minutes later. Ruslan Lisakovich picked up a yellow card in the 29th, but it barely registered as Belarus cruised into the break firmly in charge.
Artem Shumanskiy extended the advantage to three shortly after the restart (49'), and Evgeniy Yablonskiy added a fourth in the 78th — earning himself a booking two minutes later. Syria's Mahmoud Al Mawas grabbed a late consolation in the 88th, but there was never any real way back.
A dominant afternoon gives Belarus a solid morale boost ahead of future fixtures, while Syria will need to regroup quickly after being thoroughly outclassed for the majority of the game.
