Hamrun Spartans vs NSÍ Runavík

Hamrun Spartans' Conference League qualifying campaign ended in cruel fashion, as NSI Runavik won 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium to complete a 3-2 aggregate victory. The result was only settled with a stoppage-time penalty, capping a tense finish in Malta. Michal Przybylski put NSI Runavik ahead in the 43rd minute, but Ante Coric pulled Hamrun level just eight minutes into the second half. Yellow cards followed for Ederson, Petur Knudsen, Damir Ceter, Kleri Serber and Emmanuel Ernest as the game grew feisty late on, before Knudsen stepped up in the fourth minute of stoppage time to convert the penalty that decided it. It's a bitter early European exit for Hamrun, who twice fought back from behind across the two legs only to be undone at the very last kick. NSI Runavik advance to the next qualifying round, rewarded for their composure in a tie that went right down to the wire.
