Match Report

Monaco made it two wins on the bounce with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Brest at the Stade Louis II on Friday night. Folarin Balogun opened the scoring in the 19th minute to set the tone for a dominant home display. Aleksandr Golovin sealed the three points with a well-taken goal in the 78th minute, ending any hopes of a Brest comeback. The visitors managed just one shot on target from 12 attempts, struggling to break down a well-organised Monaco defence. Balogun also had a goal ruled out on the night, underlining how wasteful Brest were at the other end. The result extends Monaco's excellent recent form following their stunning 3-1 win at PSG last week. For Brest, it's a setback in their push for the top half as they head into the final stretch of the season.
