Club Brugge put a shaky Champions League week behind them with a comfortable 3-1 win over Antwerp at Jan Breydel, with Hugo Vetlesen the star of the show. The Norwegian's double either side of an early Antwerp leveler proved decisive, while goalkeeper Yann Sommer had a night to forget, twice caught out of position. Vetlesen opened the scoring in the 13th minute from the spot after Yuto Tsunashima was penalized for handball, but Snayder Porozo hit straight back for Antwerp just six minutes later, finishing after Sommer misjudged his positioning. Vetlesen restored the lead early in the second half, and Jan Virgili sealed it in the 78th minute with a well-taken effort, having earlier teed up the second goal himself. Michael Frey struck the post late on but couldn't rescue anything for the visitors. The win lets Club Brugge shrug off their European setback and keep pace at the top of the Pro League, even without injured captain Hans Vanaken. For Antwerp, it's a night to forget, undone by defensive lapses despite a bright start.
