Fiji vs Vanuatu

Fiji made home advantage count on Saturday, edging Vanuatu 1-0 in a Friendlies clash at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. The game was effectively decided inside the first ten minutes, with the hosts setting the tone early and never looking back. Thomas Dunn provided the moment that mattered, finishing in the 10th minute to put Fiji ahead. It proved to be the only goal of the match, as neither side added to the scoreline despite the remaining eighty-plus minutes of play. The clean sheet will please Fiji's backline just as much as Dunn's finish pleases the forward line, especially with Vanuatu having struggled defensively coming into the fixture. For Vanuatu, it's another reminder that tightening up at the back remains a work in progress, while Fiji can take real confidence from a disciplined, efficient display on home soil in this international friendly.
