Côte d'Ivoire vs Cameroon

Cameroon edged a tense friendly against Ivory Coast in Abidjan, grinding out a 1-0 win built on a single moment of quality early in the second half. The hosts pushed hard for an equalizer deep into stoppage time, but the Indomitable Lions' backline held firm to see out a hard-fought result on home soil for the Elephants. The breakthrough came just after the restart, with Bil Nsongo finishing from close range in the 47th minute off a assist from Ebong to put Cameroon ahead. Cards flew early, with Nyengue and Emmanuel Agbadou both booked inside the opening half-hour, while Aboubakar Nagida picked up a late yellow in the 90th minute for a rough challenge as the hosts searched for a way back. Both sides used the clash, nicknamed the "Clash of the Giants" for its West-versus-Central Africa history, as preparation ahead of 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying. Cameroon will take plenty of confidence from a disciplined away performance, while Ivory Coast have selection questions to answer after failing to break down a well-organized visiting defense at home.
