Celtic endured a chastening opening night in this season's Europa League, undone by a bizarre spell before and after half-time in a 1-3 defeat to Ferencvaros at Celtic Park. The Hoops created early chances, but a self-inflicted blow set the tone. Manager Martin O'Neill took the blame afterwards, admitting his side were "soundly beaten" despite decent chances, while Ferencvaros boss Balazs Borbely credited his players' composure. It's a rocky start to Celtic's league-phase campaign, with pressure building ahead of Sunday's derby against Rangers, while Ferencvaros could hardly have asked for a better opener.
