Mamelodi Sundowns vs Golden Arrows

Golden Arrows pulled off a shock 1-0 win over Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-final first leg at Lucas Moripe Stadium, snapping Sundowns' seven-match unbeaten run against them and leaving the hosts to chase the tie in the second leg. Junior Dion, last season's Golden Boot winner, struck the only goal in the 38th minute to settle the contest. Sundowns dominated possession and fired 22 shots to Arrows' five but managed just six on target, unable to break down a disciplined defense marshaled by man-of-the-match Khulekani Shezi.
