Gaziantep FK vs Fenerbahçe SK

Gaziantep and Fenerbahçe played out a tense goalless draw in Süper Lig week 5, with the woodwork doing more to decide the game than either goalkeeper. Chances came and went all afternoon, but neither side could find the breakthrough. Guendouzi squandered the best early opening in the 38th minute, firing wide from close range after a Greenwood pass. Gaziantep responded when Arda Kızıldağ's header cracked off the post from a corner in the 44th minute. After the break, Kerem Aktürkoğlu rattled the frame in the 54th minute, and Mason Greenwood's free kick struck the woodwork again in the 88th. Tempers flared late, with Abena, Kızıldağ, Vedat Muriqi, and İrfan Can Kahveci all booked during an 83rd-minute flare-up. For Fenerbahçe, the point stretches their winless run to two games and leaves them on seven points, six adrift of the league leaders. Gaziantep, unbeaten under new coach Orhan Ak, climbed to eight points and continue a promising start to the season.
